The NBA All-Star games took place on Sunday at the Intuit Dome. Victor Wembanyama suited up for the World team, where they found themselves out of contention with two tight losses.

Despite coming up short, the San Antonio Spurs big man was the talk of the night. Anthony Edwards might’ve been the MVP of the All-Star games, but Wembanyama was certainly the most praised.
The former Golden State Warriors champion Andre Iguodala took to social media to praise Wembanyama for his competitive spirit on Sunday.
@andre: Shoutout to David Kelly for the All Star format! And thank you WEMBY!
Following the action, Anthony Edwards kicked off his postgame press conference with instant praise for the veteran big man.

“He set the tone, and it was definitely competitive with all three teams, I feel like,” said the Timberwolves guard. “I feel like the old heads played hard, too. They were playing real good defense.”
Wembanyama wasn’t in a situation where he was entering his first All-Star action ever, but he clearly aimed to make an impact this season. With the All-Star game consistently under fire for lacking competitiveness and making the game less interesting, the French center was on a mission to change the narrative on Sunday. He was certainly successful.
In his first game, Wembanyama contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and three blocks. In the second game, he had 19 points, along with two rebounds. He was efficient from the field, making over 75 percent of his shots.
The All-Star game can’t be considered cured, but it seems to be trending in the right direction. This year, Wembanyama is getting a lot of credit for that.
