Two people are in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, following a two-vehicle collision on Monday evening in Mississauga.
The crash happened near Mississauga Road and Beaverbrook Way, just north of the Queen Elizabeth Way.
Peel Regional Police said they were called to that area just before 6:30 p.m.
They said the victims are both female: one was transported to a local trauma centre in critical condition, while the other was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver, whom investigators have only identified as a male, is in custody.

Police have not said what charges he may be facing, nor have they indicated what circumstances may have led to this collision.

Currently, Mississauga Road is closed between Beaverbrook Way, north of Sheridan Way. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes.
