New Zealand v Canada

Scorecard

Canada elected to bat first and made a solid start, scoring 50/0 in powerplay, including 18 runs off the sixth over. Yuvraj Samra, a big-hitting southpaw much like his namesake Yuvraj Singh, struck three consecutive fours off James Neesham and then ended the over with a six over deep cover.

The 19-year-old made history as he became the youngester ever to hit a hundred in a men’s T20 or ODI World Cup. He brought his 100 in 58 balls with a boundary.

Daryl Micthell is leading the New Zealand team in place of Mitchell Santner, who is unwell.
