Much of southern Manitoba, including the city of Winnipeg, is now under a yellow snowfall warning.
A special weather statement was issued late Sunday evening but has since been upgraded to a snowfall warning.
Heavy snowfall is expected to start Tuesday evening, with the heaviest snow falling along the Manitoba escarpment and the higher terrain of the Parklands region. Those areas can expect to see around 30 cm, while other areas will see between 15 to 20 cm.

The snow is expected to taper off Thursday morning.
Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly, as travel will likely be challenging, with visibility likely to be reduced at times.
Road closures and power outages are possible.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to snowfall accumulations.
