Cloudy skies and lingering fog patches will persist across southern Ontario on Tuesday as temperatures warm up to 5 C through the day before freezing rain moves in by the evening.
Early risers hoping to catch a beautiful sky while enjoying their favourite warm beverage may be unlucky, as Tuesday’s 7:11 a.m. sunrise will be obstructed by clouds.
Mississauga, Brampton and Durham will remain mainly cloudy with fog patches dissipating through the morning, while Halton and Hamilton will see similar cloudy conditions.
Daytime highs will reach 3 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Durham, climb to 4 C in Halton and rise to 5 C in Hamilton.

By night, cloudy skies will continue across all regions as conditions turn unsettled. Periods of rain will begin overnight in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton with a risk of freezing rain. Durham will remain cloudy, with a risk of freezing rain near midnight.
Overnight temperatures will slip to 0 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, ease to 1 C in Hamilton and dip to −1 C in Durham.
