Two men have been arrested following a Toronto Police raid on homes in Brampton.
Toronto Police say officers from the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force were looking into cases of weapon possession when the executed warrants on Feb. 13 in the Queen Street East and Highway 50 area, as well as The Gore Road and Countryside Drive area.
Officers say they seized a loaded handgun and ammunition as well as a large quantity of cocaine and Fentanyl.
Jesse Dawson, 35, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
Possess restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license
Possess loaded regulated firearm
Possess prohibited firearm knowing unauthorized
Three counts of possession of firearm while prohibited
Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000
Jasdeep Tatla, 33, of Brampton, has been arrested and charged with:
Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
They were both scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 14.
