BCAA’s Evolve E-Bike Share program has now officially expanded into the District of West Vancouver, providing expanded coverage for the North Shore service across all three municipalities.
A total of 16 bike share parking stations have been added to West Vancouver’s jurisdiction, including at Ambleside Park and West Vancouver Aquatic Centre and areas in Dundarave.
More e-bike devices and parking locations will be rolled out through April 2026. When this expansion is complete, Evolve E-Bike Share’s North Shore system will feature more than 300 e-bike devices and over 130 designated bike share parking zones across West Vancouver, North Vancouver District, and North Vancouver City, as well as the reserves of the Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
In late 2025, Evolve also expanded its geographical area to the easternmost areas of North Vancouver District, reaching Deep Cove.
“Evolve E-Bike Share is a welcome addition to West Vancouver and will be an important contributor to many of our goals, including environmental interests, sustainability, and encouraging residents to be physically active in our vibrant community. It is a wonderful option that will help connect people to local businesses and other experiences without needing to get into a vehicle,” said Mark Sager, mayor of West Vancouver, in a statement.
Leanne Buhler, the head of Evolve E-Bike & E-Scooter Share, added, “Our Evolve team is thrilled to offer locals and visitors in West Van an easy, fun way to move around and explore even more of the North Shore, whether that’s visiting local shops and neighbourhoods, getting to and from work, or just spending time outdoors. We’re proud to continue BCAA’s support for the District of West Vancouver’s leading role in delivering more options beyond personal car travel.”
Users can find station locations, service areas, and booking details through the same smartphone app used for Evo Car Share.
Evolve E-Bike Share first launched on the North Shore in June 2025, after it was selected by the City of North Vancouver to be the permanent operator of the North Shore’s e-bike share program.
The City oversees and regulates the service on behalf of the North Shore’s other municipal governments and First Nations.
Lime previously operated e-bike share services across the North Shore under a multi-year pilot project contract, but its bid for the permanent operator contract was not chosen.
Evolve’s shared micro-mobility services are also found at the Cowichan Valley, Langford, Whistler, Squamish, Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby Mountain campus, and Nanaimo, including the Hullo Ferries terminal.
