Montreal sports fans can get the feel of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games this weekend as the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) brings the Team Canada FanFest to town. On tap is a series of free, family-friendly events giving the fans a chance to cheer on Team Canada athletes during the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Montreal’s FanFest will take place at Esplanade Tranquille, 1442 Rue Clark on Saturday and Sunday.
‘’When we launched Team Canada FanFest for Paris 2024, we witnessed the incredible energy that unfolds when sport, communities and our partners come together to celebrate Team Canada athletes,” said Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation. “We’re excited to bring Canadians together once again, this time for the Olympic Winter Games, and have the chance to experience the thrill of winter sport themselves. We can’t wait to see the Olympic spirit come to life as we cheer on those competing in Italy.”
Team Canada FanFest will offer fans the opportunity to share unforgettable Olympic moments, cheer on Team Canada athletes through live broadcasts of the Milano Cortina 2026 competitions, try different sports and meet and engage with Team Canada athletes Several Olympians will be on hand to meet fans, including Maude Charron and Caroline Calvé. “Stepping onto the Olympic stage to represent Canada is a powerful moment, and knowing that millions of Canadians are following your performances and cheering you on from home strengthens the sense of community and connection,” said Jennifer Heil, Team Canada’s Chef de Mission for Milano Cortina 2026. We can feel the energy from excited fans all the way across the ocean in Italy. I’m so excited about these events, and I know all Team Canada athletes are too.”
The events in each city will be hosted in partnership with winter National Sport Organizations (NSOs), with the aim of getting Canadians across the country to engage in sport and ultimately drive increased participation beyond the Games. Attendees can enjoy kid-friendly activities and get hands-on experience with Olympic sports through live programming and demonstrations. Montreal attendees will be able to get on the ice, with free skate and equipment rentals available all day.
