Calgary police have laid charges against a Calgary woman following a hit-and-run that took place in southeast Calgary last year, which resulted in a teen boy sustaining life-altering injuries.
On May 12, 2025, at approximately 10:05 p.m., a collision occurred in the southbound lanes of 52nd Street S.E., at the intersection of Pensdale Road S.E.
At the time, police believe a 16-year-old boy was crossing eastbound in the crosswalk, across the southbound lanes of 52nd Street S.E., when he was struck by an SUV that failed to stop at the scene.

On Wednesday, Calgary police charged 48-year-old Michelle Lynn-Meisinger, of Calgary, with one count of hit and run causing bodily harm, alongside one count of public mischief by filing a false police report.
Lynn-Meisinger is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
