Anaheim Ducks goaltender Petr Mrazek will miss the remainder of the NHL season after having hip surgery on Tuesday, the team announced on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old goaltender has appeared in 10 games with the Ducks this season, his first in Anaheim after he was acquired from the Detroit Red Wings in a deal for John Gibson on June 28, 2025.
He has a 4.07 goals-against average and an .858 save percentage with the Ducks this season, and a record of 3-5-0 in eight starts. Mrazek’s last appearance came on Jan. 5 against the Washington Capitals, where he was pulled after two periods after allowing five goals on 24 shots in an eventual 7-4 loss.
Over his 14-year NHL career, Mrazek has appeared in 428 games with the Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks and the Ducks.
He has a career record of 183-181-40, with a 2.87 GAA and a .905 save percentage.
