FOLLOWING an extensive investigation, officers from Ontario’s Peel Regional Police’s Major Collision Bureau have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal fail to remain collision.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, a pedestrian was struck by a black SUV while crossing at the crosswalk on Bristol Road West at Loonlake Avenue in Mississauga. The driver fled the scene without providing assistance. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was transported to a trauma centre, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, 26‑year‑old Sundeep Sekhon of Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Failure to stop after accident resulting in death
Dangerous operation causing death
Sekhon was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
