After a days of relatively mild weather and sunny skies, Montrealers will see the return of wintry weather this weekend.
Friday started out cold and sunny with wind chill reaching minus-16 Celsius. The morning will get increasingly cloudy and windy with gusts of up to 40 kilometres per hour.
The day will warm up to minus-2 C before plunging to minus-8 in the afternoon.
Tonight expect snow of up to 5 centimetres and gusts of up to 50 kilometres per hour. The low will reach minus-10 C and wind chill reaching minus-18 C overnight.
Saturday will see clear skies and gusts but a similar cold morning with wind chill of minus-18 C. Expect a high of minus-8 C and a low of minus-8 C.
Snow returns Saturday night.
Sunday will see periods of snow with a high of minus-2 C and a low of minus-6 C.
