Sault Area Hospital is asking patients, families and residents across the region to help guide a “light refresh” of its Strategic Plan

NEWS RELEASE

Sault Area Hospital (SAH) is inviting patients, families, and community members to share their input as part of a light refresh of its Strategic Plan, ensuring it continues to reflect community needs, evolving health-care priorities, and current realities.

A Strategic Plan is SAH’s roadmap for the future. It outlines the hospital’s priorities, the key areas for improvement, and how progress will be measured. The plan guides decisions, resource allocation, and care delivery, helping SAH focus on initiatives that matter most to patients, families, staff, and the wider community.

This year, SAH is completing a light refresh of the Strategic Plan. Unlike a full-scale update, a light refresh is a short-term adjustment that keeps the hospital aligned with changing healthcare needs, emerging trends, and community expectations. It allows SAH to:

Reaffirm priorities – ensuring focus remains on what is most important for patients and the community
Identify opportunities to improve care – enhancing patient experiences, safety, and outcomes
Strengthen accountability – refining the ways progress is measured and success is reported

As part of this process, SAH is launching the Strategic Plan Light Refresh Survey. The hospital encourages everyone in the community to participate. Feedback from patients, families, and community members will help shape SAH’s priorities and ensure that the hospital continues to deliver care that meets the needs and expectations of those it serves.

Why your input matters:

Your responses directly influence how SAH focuses its efforts, improves care, and measures success.
Community voices help ensure the Strategic Plan reflects what matters most to patients, families, and caregivers.
