Toronto police are trying to track down a woman accused of forcing a male victim into a car and stealing his wallet in Toronto’s east end.
According to police, the incident occurred on Feb. 10 at around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East.
Police say the victim was walking on the sidewalk when a person approached in a vehicle.
“The suspect exited the vehicle and pushed the victim into the passenger side,” police said in a news release issued Friday.
“The suspect drove a short distance to a parking lot, where she forced a ring on the victim and stole his wallet.”
The suspect allegedly drove to another parking lot, where the victim was allowed to exit the vehicle.
Police allege the suspect then fled the scene and later used the victim’s cards to make a purchase.
The suspect vehicle has been described as a dark-coloured SUV.
Police say the suspect, identified as Mirabela Ene, a 38-year-old Toronto resident, is wanted for forcible confinement, assault, theft under $5,000, and fraud under $5,000.
Investigators have released a photo of the suspect and say she is five feet, one inch tall, has black hair, and a heavy build.
