Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 15-year-old girl who went missing more than a week ago in Mississauga’s east end.

Veronika, whose surname wasn’t provided, was last seen on Thursday, Feb. 12 just before 5 p.m. at a home/residence near Rathburn Road East and Ponytrail Drive, Peel Regional Police said in a news release on Friday afternoon.

Investigators say both police and the missing girl’s family are concerned for her well-being.

Veronika is described as:

Middle Eastern, with a medium complexion.
5-foot-11, 120 pounds, with a thin build.
Brown eyes, with red curly hair.
Last seen wearing a light blue coat, brown hooded animal print sweater, blue sweatpants, and black-and-gold Air Jordan shoes.

Veronika was last seen in Mississauga on Feb. 12.

Anyone with information on Veronika’s whereabouts is asked to contact investigators with the Peel police 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 1233, or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Peel police and several other Greater Toronto Area police forces, including in Toronto, adopted a policy in 2023 in which they make public only the given names of people who’ve gone missing.

When deemed necessary by investigators, they will release surnames of missing persons as well.
