Drivers can once again park on city streets now that a winter storm has passed through Brampton.
Brampton and much of southern Ontario were hit with snow, freezing rain and drizzle this week due to a low-pressure system. Crews were out plowing and salting arterial roads, collectors, school crossings, transit stops and more on Thursday, with downtown Brampton already completed.
On-street parking is banned during or immediately after a snowfall in Brampton, as vehicles can block access for snow-clearing crews and delay plowing. Failure to adhere to the rules could mean fines up to $500.

And while there are still some flurries in the forecast this weekend, the city said in an update on Friday that the parking ban has been lifted now that the significant winter weather event is over.
Saturday’s forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of flurries throughout the day with a high of around 4 C.
The Winter Weather Event has concluded in the City of Brampton. On-street parking is once again PERMITTED. 🚨
Thanks for helping keep streets clear so plows, salters and emergency vehicles can get through during snow conditions. 💙
