Around 20,000 power banks have been recalled in Canada amid a fire hazard, officials say.

Health Canada said in a notice that certain LOGiiX Piston Power 5000 Mag Power Banks are affected.

“A small number of power banks may overheat when used to charge a device or when charging the power banks, posing a fire hazard,” the notice said.

“As of Feb. 9, 2026, the company has received 4 reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.”

Health Canada said the following model numbers / colours are affected:

LGX-13302 / Black
LGX-13303 / White
LGX-13304 / Navy/Midnight Blue
LGX-13839 / Lavender
LGX-13840 / Blush

According to the company, around 20,000 were sold in Canada from January 2022 to July 2025, officials said.

Consumers are being advised to immediately stop using the power banks and contact LOGiiX for a replacement.

“Dispose of it by contacting your municipality for instructions on how to safely transport and dispose of lithium-ion batteries,” Health Canada said.
