Former Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard is close to completing a surprise move to Brazilian side Remo, according to reports.
The former England international is believed to have an offer on the table from the South American club, with negotiations progressing after positive talks over the past few weeks.
Lingard, who last played for South Korean side FC Seoul, is expected to sign a contract with the Brazilian Serie A side until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old is a free agent after leaving Seoul last month, following a two-year stint in South Korea, where he scored 19 goals and provided 10 assists in 67 appearances.
Lingard Snubbed by Seven Clubs

According to TEAMtalk, Lingard was offered to several English clubs during the January transfer window, but none were keen to sign the 33-year-old on a free transfer.
While his former club West Ham declined, negative responses were also received from Burnley, as well as Championship sides Coventry City, Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town.
Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers were also presented with an opportunity to sign the ex-Manchester United winger, but decided against pursuing a move.
Lingard last played Premier League football during the 2022/23 season at Nottingham Forest, where he failed to register a goal or an assist in 17 top-flight appearances.
The 32-cap former England international made 232 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 35 goals and providing 21 assists, and was part of the squads that lifted the Europa League in 2017 and the FA Cup in 2016.
At Remo, managed by former Mexico head coach Juan Carlos Osorio, Lingard looks set to join forces with former Nottingham Forest midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis.
Feyenoord Also Looked at Lingard

As GIVEMESPORT reported earlier this month, Lingard was also offered to Eredivisie side Feyenoord in a potential free transfer deal.
The move would have allowed him to reunite with former Manchester United star Robin van Persie, who has been in charge of Feyenoord for over a year.
The Dutch side welcomed ex-Premier League forward Raheem Sterling this month, after he left Chelsea by mutual consent.
Feyenoord trained in Belgium this week rather than at their home in Rotterdam, allowing Sterling to begin integrating into the squad before receiving his work permit in the Netherlands.
