This is Edmonton’s science centre, with feature displays, interactive learning opportunities, and so much more. Here, you can even catch a movie in IMAX or visit its new exhibit, Jurassic World by Brickman.

The Muttart Conservatory is known in Edmonton for being a tropical paradise indoors during the winter months. Year-round, it holds majestic botanical gardens for everyone to see.
Currently, the Muttart Conservatory is showing off its “Prehistoric Paradise” feature. It’s showing off a step back in time with a lush, tropical landscape of banana plants, vibrant bromeliads and dinosaurs, which provide an incredible backdrop for photos.

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

The Art Gallery of Alberta is one of the best art galleries in the province, with a good bang for your buck. It’s especially great considering the art gallery is almost completely refreshed every four to six months, allowing for an all-new experience each time you visit.
On the last Thursday of each month, the art gallery offers free admission between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This year, the YEG Ice Fest in February will have ice climbers from across the world competing in the Ice Climbing World Cup. Not only is the Ice Climbing World Cup taking place during Ice Fest, but this festival has many more experiences to offer, like a local expo as well as opportunities to try out ice climbing for yourself.
