Another Olympic Games have come and gone faster than anybody would have anticipated.
Overall, Milano Cortina 2026 was a very successful Olympics, which featured plenty of iconic moments. Canada wound up in a tie for ninth amongst all nations with five gold medals. They were also seventh in total medals with 21. It was Norway who led the way, racking up 41 medals in total, 18 of which were gold.
Many who tuned in are already champing at the bit for the next Olympics, which will come in 2028. In fact, here’s a look at where each of the next four Olympics will take place.
2028 Summer Olympics: Los Angeles, California, USA
2030 Winter Olympics: French Alps, France
2032 Summer Olympics: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
2034 Winter Olympics: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
The 2028 Olympics will take place on North American soil, as will be the case once again in 2034. For hockey fans frustrated over the fact that both the Canadian men’s and women’s teams came up short in their quest for gold, the opportunity to exact revenge will be in France in 2030.
There are no plans for a Canadian city to host at this point in time, though many are hoping that will eventually change.
Canada has hosted three Olympic Games to date. The first was the 1976 Summer Olympics, which took place in Montreal. The other two have both been Winter Olympics, with the first taking place in Calgary in 1988. The most recent came in 2010 in Vancouver, where Sidney Crosby is remembered for scoring the golden goal.
