With Muslims around the world currently observing the holy month of Ramadan, Canada’s largest Ramadan night market is set to return to Surrey this March.

Ramadan Fest BC is returning to the Cloverdale Agriplex from Thursday, March 5 to Sunday, March 8, following a successful debut last year. This family-friendly event is organized by Salaam Events, who also hosts the BC Halal Food Fest and Halal Expo.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and for Muslims around the world, it’s a time for fasting, prayer, reflection, and building a sense of community. From dawn to sunset, worshippers abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs in an effort to focus on their faith.

More than 50,000 attendees are expected over the four-day event, where guests can savour global cuisines, indulge in decadent desserts, take in festive Ramadan-inspired light displays, browse unique vendors, and experience much more.

Here are the food and drink vendors that will be at the market:

Al Zauq Momos
Chaiiwala
Don Tacos
BRB Smokehouse
Karavan
Ankabut Donair
Chapli Kebab House
Khyber Tikka House
Cheese Slap
The London Fish
Twisted Potato
Roasted Revolution Corn
Al Zauq Momos
Blaze Gourmet Burgers
Candlelight Catering
Le Parfait
The Waffle Co.
TWK Restaurant
Little Lebanon Eats
Bee & Bee Coffee Cart
Juicy Green Express
Little Ooties

During Ramadan, Muslims begin each day with a pre-dawn meal known as suhoor and break their fast at sunset with a meal called iftar.
