Winnipeggers searching for new comics and a way to support sick kids can find it all in one place.

This weekend, the Children’s Hospital Book Market is hosting a one-day pop-up comic book sale at St. Vital Centre, offering readers a chance to grow their collections while giving back to the community.

“Every purchase helps bring joy, play, and comfort to kids at HSC_Winnipeg Children’s Hospital through Child Life programming, so kids can just be kids,” said the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba in a post on social media.

The foundation regularly hosts book and media sales throughout the year to raise funds for kids in hospital. A similar one-day event last August raised more than $33,000 in just seven hours.

Organizers say the comic book sale will feature a wide selection of titles for readers of all ages, from classic favourites to modern releases, making it a great stop for collectors, families, and casual readers alike.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at St. Vital Centre.

All proceeds will support the Child Life programs at HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital, bringing joy, play and comfort to children facing long hospital stays.
