EXCLUSIVE: Andrew Scott is set to join Emily Blunt in Walk the Blue Fields, based on the stirring romance short story by Claire Keegan. Deadline also is hearing that Netflix has come onboard alongside Compelling Pictures, Element Pictures — a Fremantle Company — and Ledbury Productions. Tom Cullen and Ciarán Hinds also have joined the cast.

Walk the Blue Fields follows a woman on her wedding day being confronted with a heart-wrenching decision as a love triangle from her past threatens to be revealed.Â
Compelling Pictures‘ Denis O’Sullivan and Jeff Kalligheri, will produce. Blunt will produce through her Ledbury Productions as will Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe through Fremantle Company. Ori Allon, Matthew Gallagher, Dennis Casali , Steven Garcia, Crowley, McPherson, Claire Keegan and Edmund Sampson will exec produce.
Scott most recently was seen in the Oscar-nominated pic Blue Moon opposite Ethan Hawke as well as the most recent installment in the Knives Out series, Wake Up Dead Man. Next up, he can be seen in the World War II pic Pressure as well as the MRC pic A Place in Hell and Elsinore.
