OTTAWA – Ottawa police say they’re investigating whether human remains found in the city’s south end last year belong to a man who has been missing since 2019.

Police say Corey Baldwin was last seen at his home in Greely, Ont., a short distance from where the remains were found on Nov. 8.

They say Baldwin is believed to have been the victim of a homicide.

Police say the remains belong to a man but they are still awaiting DNA analysis to determine the individual’s identity.

They say there’s no confirmed connection between Baldwin and the remains but investigators are exploring all possible leads.

Anyone with information about the discovery of the remains or the disappearance of Baldwin is being asked to come forward.
