It might still be winter, but you can get a head start on paid seasonal summer work with the City of Brampton.

From camp staff and lifeguards to landscapers and more, Brampton has plenty of seasonal positions opening this summer to support neighbourhood programs, recreation spaces, parks and summer camps.

The city will be holding two in-person information sessions this month for interested residents to connect directly with hiring teams, learn about available roles, outline recruitment timelines and help with the application process.

“Seasonal Community Services roles place residents directly into neighbourhood spaces where people gather, learn and stay active,” the city says. “Each role supports programs residents count on throughout the summer.”

Residents ages 16 and older, including students, newcomers and job seekers, are encouraged to attend and apply, the city says. Participants are encouraged to bring a resume on a USB key to support on-site applications.

Here are the city departments and roles hiring for the 2026 summer season:

Camps.
Aquatics.
Facility Operations.
Inclusive Program Support.
Parkskeeper.
Seasonal Labourer.
Gardener.
Arborist.
Landscaper Construction.
Maintenance Handyperson.
Fitness.
Skate programs.
Sport programs.
Community Safety and Well-being.
Cultural Services.

Seasonal community services jobs teach  hands-on experience in recreation, parks and community programming, support inclusive and accessible services across neighbourhoods, and “play a direct role in shaping positive experiences for Brampton families,” the city says.

The in-person information sessions run on Feb. 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre, and on Feb. 28 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at the Save Max Sports Centre.
