Justin Trudeau’s son Xavier is opening up about his father’s famous girlfriend, Katy Perry.
The oldest of Trudeau’s children shared a few stories about meeting famous celebrities, in a video posted to the TikTok and Instagram accounts of social media personality G Hobs.
The two sit in a car with a McDonald’s meal that the company collaborated on with Toronto rapper Drake.
In the short video, Xavier revealed that he had met Drake at the Raptors parade, when the basketball team won the NBA finals in 2019, and more recently, when he was invited to the rapper’s son’s birthday party. There, Drake told him that he enjoyed Xavier’s music and shared some advice.
When asked by G Hobs if he’d met Katy Perry, Xavier replied that he had.
“She’s cool, she’s nice,” he said in the video, which was posted over the weekend. “We talked for hours, talking about music. Advice and these next steps for me and stuff.”
Xavier was also asked if he’s talked to Perry “about the moon stuff,” a reference to her controversial, all-female trip aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket.
Xavier replied that he hadn’t spoken to Perry about that trip.
Trudeau and Perry were first spotted last summer at a Montreal bistro and officially debuted their romance a few months later in Paris. Since then, Perry has posted photos of the former prime minister on her social media on various vacations and trips around the world.
Xavier launched his music career in 2025, under the moniker Xav, with his debut R&B single “Till The Nights Done.” His father is occasionally featured in his social media videos.
