A Brampton driver has been charged after police say the man was involved in multiple hit-and-run crashes on the same night.
The OPP says officers in Caledon were notified of “multiple motor vehicle collisions” in the area of Chinguacousy Road and Mayfield Road around 10 p.m. on Feb. 16.
Police haven’t said how many vehicles were damaged in the crashes, and say the driver failed to remain at the scene.
An investigation led officers to a suspect vehicle, and officers say a 34-year-old male driver from Brampton was arrested and charged with multiple offences.
The driver has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, failure or refusal to comply with demand, and failure to stop after accident.
Anyone who witnesses a suspected impaired or unsafe driver can report it to police by calling 911 when it is safe to do so. Anonymous tips may also be provided to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
When you contact Crime Stoppers you stay anonymous, never have to testify, and could receive a $2,000 reward.
