As the Tyler Myers trade watch continues with the Vancouver Canucks, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports the Detroit Red Wings are believed to be the team with an offer on the table for the veteran defenceman.

The Canucks held out Myers out of the lineup on Wednesday for trade-related reasons. Dreger reported then that the offer was presented to Myers, who has trade protection, and his agent J.P. Barry two days ago and they continue to deliberate.

Dreger adds now that other teams have also expressed interest, including the Dallas Starts, which is likely why Myers is taking his time and allowing the process to develop.

TSN’s Ryan Rishaug reports the Edmonton Oilers are not among the suitors for Myers.

Myers currently holds a full no-movement clause in his contract, which converts to a 12-team no-trade list this summer.

Tyler Myers continues to consider a trade option. It’s believed Detroit is the target. Other teams have expressed interest, including Dallas. Likely why Myers is taking his time in allowing the process to develop.

Myers has appeared in 57 games this season for the Canucks and has a goal with seven assists.

The 36-year-old is in his seventh season with Vancouver after joining the team as a free agent in 2019 and is currently playing on a three-year deal that carries a $3 million AAV and expires after the 2026-27 season.

The Houston native has also appeared with the Jets and Buffalo Sabres over the course of his 1,123 game NHL career.

Myers was selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Sabres.
