Saskatchewan Roughriders’ offensive lineman Jacob Brammer re-signed with the green and white in January after his two-year CFL rookie contract expired.

Brammer, who earned his first All-CFL selection last season at right guard, says that the camaraderie within the locker room left a great taste in his mouth when it came to re-signing, literally.

“The past two seasons, it’s like a college team where we always were looking to hang out with each other, whether that be post-practice or days off. I lived with Logan Ferland during the season, so he was always putting together meals, not just for the offensive line. It was a free invite from the whole team to come over. He puts a couple of briskets on the smoker and gets some ribs and wings going as well. Then everyone brings a snack or something like that. It’s been a great experience for me, and that was a big thing when I re-signed. I love the guys, the team we have, the coaches we have, everything feels like a brotherhood from top down, so it meant a lot to me to keep that thing going.”
