The grand opening date for a new Winners in Mississauga has been announced.
In the summer, Square One Shopping Centre announced that Winners, an off-price department store, would be coming to the mall.
Winners will open on Level 2 of the shopping centre, in the large space previously occupied by Urban Behavior near entrance 7, a spokesperson told INsauga.com. Urban Behavior confirmed it was closing last year.
Today, Square One announced the opening date for the new Winners is April 20.
Winners offers discounted products through a “wide variety of opportunities, which can include department or specialty store cancellations, a manufacturer making up too much product, or a closeout deal when a vendor wants to clear merchandise at the end of a season,” the company says on its website.
Winners was founded in 1982 by David Margolis in Toronto. It was one of the first off-price department stores in Canada. In 1990, it merged with U.S. off-price department store owner TJX.
