Double C equals Triple A on Red Letter Day
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman predicts Boxing Fans are going to see a modern-day Classic when Crawford takes on Canelo for the Undisputed Super Middleweight Crown, Scepter and Mantle on September 13th at the elegant Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The Red Letter Epic for the crimson and ermine, is gathering pace and heightening in expectation. Mauricio said: ”Canelo Vs Crawford has all the elements to be a Super-Bout, intertwining sporting fabled rivalry between Mexico and the United States, illustrated by Chavez Vs Taylor, Junior Jones who knocked out Marco Antonio Barrera and then Erik Morales knocked out Junior Jones. There are so many truly great boxing matches between Mexico and the United States.
”This particular fight is at the very greatest level in and American Football Stadium, with the Undisputed Championship at stake. It cannot be any better.”
There has been some talk about this fight being a David Vs Goliath, but Mauricio doesn`t agree with this notion or imagery. He reasons: ”No….because in this case, the David is much bigger than the original biblical one. It`s very level and even. They are very equal in many ways and this is not David and Goliath. It`s Champion Vs Champion and it`s going to be a classic to remember.”
