Downtown merchants and Montreal taxpayers are getting a little break from the construction on Sainte-Catherine Street. Work to rebuild part of the commercial street is being accelerated and is now scheduled to finish one year earlier. The project is slated to be finished in 2029 instead of 2030, but as Tim Sargeant reports, business owners say it’s still too long.
