Anyone planning to travel through Toronto Pearson International Airport on Saturday is being warned to expect cancellations and possible delays as ongoing hostilities in the Middle East continue to impact flight schedules.

In a post shared to X (formerly Twitter) on Feb. 28, Toronto Pearson said some flights are being impacted by changes to international airspace, with airlines adjusting routes and schedules in response to evolving conditions.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status directly with their airline before heading to the airport.
While airport operations remain normal overall, several long-haul flights connecting Toronto to destinations in the Middle East have been cancelled.
Cancelled departures include:
An Emirates flight to Dubai at 1:55 p.m.
An Etihad Airways flight to Abu Dhabi at 2:45 p.m.
A Qatar Airways flight to Doha at 8:10 p.m.
An Air Canada flight to Dubai at 9:30 p.m.
Air Canada said in a social media update that flights to and from Dubai were cancelled due to the military situation in the Middle East, adding that the airline continues to monitor developments and adjust schedules as needed.
Qatar Airways also confirmed on its X account that flights to Doha remain temporarily suspended amid the closure of Qatari airspace, warning passengers to expect delays once operations resume.
Emirates noted that flight disruptions have led to higher-than-usual customer support calls and encouraged travellers to check their flight status online for the latest updates.
The cancellations come as Canadian travel advisories warn that ongoing hostilities involving drone and missile activity may disrupt transportation across the region, including flight schedules and airspace operations.
Travellers are advised to continue monitoring airline communications and allow extra time for potential changes as the situation evolves.
