With a WNBA lockout looming, Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham may be trading the hardwood for the spotlight. The 6-foot-1 veteran is still rehabbing the torn MCL she sustained last season, her first campaign alongside Caitlin Clark in Indiana.
Cunningham made her presence felt immediately. The former Missouri Tigers star helped the Fever post a franchise-best 24-20 record. She was a key piece for coach Stephanie White, averaging 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 30 games before her season ended prematurely.
If a lockout delays her return to the court, Cunningham has already tipped off where fans will likely find her next.

WNBA: Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham teases potential cameo appearance on hit reality show ‘Summer House’
The latest episode of “Show Me Something” with Cunningham and co-host West Wilson revealed that a small-screen debut could be in the cards.
The 29-year-old is a self-described Bravo and “Summer House” superfan. On the podcast, Cunningham floated the idea of visiting Wilson on set if the 2026 WNBA season gets put on hold.
“Hey, if we don’t have a season, I’m coming up there for a weekend,” Cunningham said at the 9:42 mark of the episode.
Wilson had no objections and suggested her cameo would send shockwaves through the Bravo fanbase.
“Oh yeah, people would lose their minds,” Wilson said.
Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on the WNBA’s labor situation. The league operates under a “status quo” period after the previous CBA expired Jan. 9, without a new deal in place.
The 2026 season is scheduled to tip off May 8, but that start date is at risk without a resolution. The WNBA set March 10 as a target date for a new agreement to keep the schedule intact. Both sides remain cautiously optimistic a deal gets done.
With the hardwood potentially on pause, Cunningham is not waiting around. If there is a delay to the start of the season, she already knows exactly where she will be.
