The top negotiator choice (Janice Charette) appears to be a lifelong bureaucrat who has never negotiated anything. Wise choice, Mark Carney.
That should ensure she will poke Donald Trump in the eye and impress those who think doing so will show him how strong we are to stand up to the leader of the biggest economy in the world and to a country that happens to be not only our neighbour, but our biggest trading partner.
Sad to think, of all the problems Canada has, provoking Trump is top of mind.
Instead of an insider with zero experience in negotiating anything, why wouldn’t our government secure the services of a proven union negotiator? Someone who has fought in the trenches and has the ability to compromise and find value in a fair-to-all agreement.

Unfortunately, we all know the outcome of the upcoming negotiations with the U.S.A. It will be a disaster. Canada’s economy will crash. Jobs will be lost. The dollar will drop to new lows and ordinary Canadians will bear the brunt of the economic storm.
Elbows up, eh?

THINK BEFORE CHOOSING CANADA
Before you choose Canada as your country of choice, you should know some facts.
No. 1: You can wait years to access needed health care and may even die in a waiting room for emergency care.
No. 2: If you think you will find affordable housing or rent, that’s just not going to happen.
No. 3: Taxes that are through the roof and skyrocketing.
No. 4: The high food prices, with Canada considered the food inflation capital of the G7.

No. 5: MAiD is the fifth-leading cause of death in Canada, with the numbers rising every year.
No. 6: A lack of jobs, with government policy driving companies out of Canada, making it difficult to find full-time employment.
No. 7: Freedom of speech no longer exists here, with huge fines possible.
