Clark will miss her ninth straight game when Indiana takes on Phoenix Thursday night.
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever will once again be without Caitlin Clark as they look to get back in the win column Thursday night in Phoenix.
Clark will miss her ninth straight game when the Fever face the Mercury. Indiana had their five-game win streak snapped in Los Angeles Thursday night.Â
The Fever’s star guard continues to recover from an injury to her right groin. Clark has played in just 13 of Indiana’s 30 games so far this season. She hasn’t played since an 80-61 loss to Golden State  on July 9, and also missed the WNBA All-Star Game, which was played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
No other players were listed on the injury report for Thursday’s game for either the Fever or the Mercury.
Indiana’s recent win streak, which has included win in seven of their last 10 games, moved the Fever into the thick of the playoff hunt. Heading into Wednesday’s WNBA schedule, the Fever stood in fifth place in the league, 1 1/2 games behind both Phoenix and Atlanta and just 2 1/2 games behind second-place New York in the standings.Â
The top eight teams at the end of the regular season will make the WNBA playoffs, with the top four teams earning home-court advantage for the first round.
Thursday’s Fever game against the Mercury will air live on WTHR Channel 13, starting at 10 p.m. EDT.Â
