9 Surrey teams have shot at B.C. boys hoops championship starting Wednesday

Several Surrey school teams are at the BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships, Wednesday to Saturday (March 4-7).
Provincial division winners will be crowned in four separate 16-team tournaments at Langley Events Centre, from 1A to big-school 4A.
Surrey’s Tamanawis Wildcats (#3 seed), Holy Cross Crusaders (#12), Panorama Ridge Thunder (#9) and Semiahmoo Thunderbirds (#7) compete in 4A provincials.
In the 3A division, Surrey’s L.A. Matheson Mustangs are #3 seed heading in, with Enver Creek Cougars and Salish Wolves also in action.
South Surrey’s Southridge Storm (#4 rank) will battle for the 2A division championship with Surrey Christian Falcons and 14 other teams.
