Peel Regional Police are searching for multiple suspects after several tow trucks were set on fire in Brampton early Monday, investigators say.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Rutherford Road and Glidden Road, police said in a statement sent to CBC News.

Officers received reports of multiple people setting trucks on fire before “fleeing in an unknown direction,” police said.

No one was hurt, investigators say.

“Preliminary evidence suggests the involvement of four to five individuals,” the statement reads.

“At this stage, no suspect descriptions or identifying details are available. The investigation remains ongoing.”
