Nashville Predators centre Michael McCarron has been traded to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a 2028 second-round draft pick.

The trade deadline is on Friday.

The 30-year-old McCarron has five goals and seven assists over 59 games with the Predators in 2025-26, his sixth season in Nashville.

McCarron, standing 6-foot-6, is in the final season of a two-year contract featuring an average annul value of $900,000.

The native of Grosse Point, Michigan was selected 25th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and has recorded 33 goals and 41 assists over 361 games with the Habs and Preds.

Minnesota currently sits third in the Central Division with 80 points and a 35-16-10 record.
