Luc Thériault, Domtar’s CEO of pulp and products and president for Canada, has been appointed chair of the Forest Products Association of Canada’s (FPAC’s) board of directors.

Thériault has more than 30 years’ experience in the forest products industry, including stints with Cartons St-Laurent, Smurfit-Stone, Produits Forestiers Mauricie and Resolute Forest Products. He also currently serves as co-chair representing Eastern Canada on the Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance (CLTA).

Joining him as vice-chair is Juan Carlos Bueno, Mercer International’s president, CEO and director. He is also director of the BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI).
