Kim Mitchell will perform at the Southside Shuffle on Sept. 11 in Mississauga.

The 73-year-old Sarnia native last performed at the Shuffle in 2022, and along with his recording and performance track record, Mitchell broadened his legion of fans when he took to the airwaves as the afternoon host on Toronto classic rock radio station Q107 from 2004 until 2015.

Mitchell is just one of the major acts announced for the blues and jazz festival, which is entering its 28th year.

Other headliners are the Georgia-based Blackberry Smoke, on Sept. 12, and Slowhand: The Music of Eric Clapton, presented by Lance Anderson and musical guests on Sept. 13.

Blackberry Smoke was formed in 2001 and has released 10 records, three of which have hit the top of the Billboard record charts in the U.S.
