Alalshikh shared the comment on X alongside a photo of himself standing beside Hearn at a past boxing event. Both men are smiling in the image and posing with raised fists, the familiar stance often used during ringside promotional photos.
In the message, Alalshikh mixed humor with a reference involving Benn.
“Eddie, don’t worry, I am always here for you,” Alalshikh wrote on X. “And if you call me, unlike Conor Benn, I will answer the phone.”
The post mentioned Benn while directing the message toward Hearn, who has promoted the British welterweight throughout most of his professional career under the Matchroom Boxing banner. Benn developed into one of the more recognizable names at 147 pounds while appearing regularly on Matchroom cards in Britain and the United States.
Hearn and Alalshikh have worked together repeatedly during the wave of major fight cards staged in Saudi Arabia over the past several years. Those events often brought together fighters from different promotional companies, with Matchroom among the key organizations involved in shows held in Riyadh.
That working relationship has placed Hearn alongside Alalshikh during several of the biggest boxing events organized in the region. Their appearances together at press conferences and ringside during those cards have reflected a cooperative approach between promoters and event backers as large international fight nights were assembled.
Because of that history, the tone of Alalshikh’s post mirrored the relaxed exchanges the two men have displayed publicly at events and in interviews.
Benn has been closely associated with Matchroom for the majority of his career. The welterweight contender built his reputation fighting on Hearn-promoted cards while gradually moving into headline positions as his profile increased.
For now, the message appeared to be little more than a humorous social media moment between two figures who have worked closely together during several of boxing’s most significant recent events.
