With Ben in prison in America, Callum grew frustrated as his spouse got into more trouble, therefore limiting his contact with Callum and daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown).

When Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) remarked that Callum barely had a life of his own, it sparked something in Callum and the pair began sleeping together.

Ben’s father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) saw them together and vented his anger at Callum, threatening to take over Lexi’s care.

But with Phil busy looking after Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), he later told Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that Callum was on a final warning.

Meanwhile, as Johnny enjoys a cruise with mum Linda (Kellie Bright), his grandmother Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) has been teasing Callum about their connection.

Callum’s bashful smiles certainly didn’t indicate an ounce of guilt over being unfaithful, but the story took another turn after Lexi, Jay and Callum finished a call with Ben.

Lexi was missing her dad, so Callum took her to local fast food place McKlunky’s, where he let her paint his nails and they reminisced over happier times with Ben.

Soon, talk turned to the future and Ben’s eventual release, and Callum was left thoughtful and conflicted.

Amid all this, Johnny got in touch with a photo, and later, Jay spotted that Callum had replied, telling Johnny he was keen to see his tan lines!

While Callum promised he wouldn’t contact Johnny again, Jay was understandably angry, leaving Callum in despair.

Will Jay tell Phil what Callum has been up to?
