Dutch pensions giant APG Asset Management has submitted a bid for Transgrid, NSW’s $10 billion electricity transmissions company where a hefty decarbonisation bill has set off an investor stampede.
Street Talk understands APG has hired Macquarie Capital to advise on its bid for a 19.99 per cent stake in Transgrid put up for sale by Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s Tawreed Investments. The stake is worth more than $2 billion.
