One of the world’s most well-known chain of coffee shops is shuttering a location attached to Brampton bookstore.
Following the trend of the company closing other bookstore coffee shops in the Greater Toronto Area, Starbucks is closing down its location at 52 Quarry Edge Dr. in Brampton.
The Starbucks is attached to the Indigo bookstore in the Brampton Corners shopping plaza at Main Street North and Bovaird Drive East.
It will be closing its doors on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Many of Starbucks’ Indigo- and Chapters-attached locations have closed following the book retailer’s deal with Canadian coffee chain Good Earth Cafe in 2022, including in Sudbury and Kitchener.
Starbucks said last year it had plans to lay off around 900 employees and close some stores in Canada and the U.S
