Public health officials with Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care are notifying the public of three new locations where exposure to measles may have occurred within the past several days:
Morden Adult Education Centre, 30 Stephen St., Morden, on Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Apartments at The Gardens on Tenth common area, 235 Fifth St. NE, Altona, on March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, 62 10th Ave. NE, Altona, on March 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Through February 27th, 2026, 139 cases of measles were confirmed across the province, with 15 additional cases. Since the start of the year 215 confirmed cases and 22 probable have been identified by public health officials.
People who are not immunized and have been exposed to measles may be eligible for preventative treatment within six days of exposure and are encouraged to speak with a health-care provider.

Public health is asking anyone who was at these locations during the specified times to check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with measles vaccine (MMR or MMRV).
