Ottawa police announced Saturday that the service was mourning the death of one of its members on Friday.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and is being investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police, as is standard practice,” the force said in a release.
The post gave no further details on the incident.
“This is difficult news for our Service.
“Our hearts are with his family, friends and colleagues and supports are being put in place for them and all members affected by this loss,” the release states.
