Following a collision during FC Dender’s game against Charleroi on Saturday in Belgium, Luc de Fougerolles has a swollen ankle, and will receive further imaging in the coming days.
The 20-year-old left Saturday’s game in the 33rd minute. In his first full season playing first division soccer, de Fougerolles has been a defensive workhorse for Dender playing 23 league games and finishing a full 90 minutes seven times.

Nevertheless, de Fougerolles injury now adds another injury to Canada’s ailing defence.
Alphonso Davies (hamstring), Moïse Bombito (broken leg), Derek Cornelius (hamstring), Alfie Jones (foot), and Alistair Johnston (hamstring) are all on the shelf for their respective clubs less than 100 days from Canada’s opening game of the 2026 World Cup.
Bombito and Davies are already back doing some light running, while Cornelius is training with his club’s first team.
Reports this week out of Scotland suggest, Johnston is closing in a return to action, despite some recent setbacks.
Canada’s men will meet-up again at the end of the month for two international friendly matches at BMO Field in Toronto, against Iceland on March 28 and Tunisia on March 31.
