All eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Keele Street have reopened after being closed for more than an hour while police responded to a “person in crisis.”

Earlier Sunday morning, Toronto police said the Keele Street bridge and the eastbound Highway 401 collector and express lanes were blocked shortly before 9 a.m.

In a separate update at the time, Ontario Provincial Police confirmed that all eastbound collector and express lanes at Keele Street were closed while officers investigated in the area.

When asked what prompted the closure, officials told CP24 in an email that officers were responding to a “person in crisis.”

Police said shortly after 10:40 a.m. that all eastbound lanes had reopened.
