Ronda Rousey used Francis Ngannou’s upcoming MMA return to take a shot at her former promotion and the upcoming White House fight card.

UFC CEO Dana White made headlines last weekend when he finally, formally announced the UFC’s plans for the upcoming White House card in June. UFC Freedom 250 is headlined by a lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, and features a co-headliner between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.

The card’s fight lineup has received mixed responses from the UFC’s fanbase, pundits, and fight roster. The event will compete against Ronda Rousey’s first MMA fight in 10 years against Gina Carano on a card promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

Rousey is relishing in the opportunity to go head-to-head with the UFC for her MMA return, despite a still-cordial relationship with White and others. But that hasn’t stopped Rousey from making her opinion on the upcoming White House event known.

Ronda Rousey taunts Dana White, UFC after White House card announcement

In a recent social media post, Rousey took a shot at White and the UFC over the recent White House fight card announcement.

“Francis Ngannou vs. Phillipe Lins joins Rousey vs. Carano on Netflix May 16th! How’s THAT for a BAMF laden double headliner? That’s what happens when you put fighters and fans ahead of shareholders,” Rousey said.

“P.S. UFC’s White House card sucks.”

Francis Ngannou has had a long-standing feud with White, stemming from his abrupt departure from the UFC in 2023. He recently parted ways with the PFL to pursue this upcoming venture under the MVP banner.

Rousey will return to the cage for the first time since suffering back-to-back losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. Since leaving the UFC, she’s long teased a ‘dream matchup’ with Carano, which will now come to fruition.
